I have a Lanchester LD-10 in remarkably complete condition looking for a home. The car has been underneath a house in Ashgrove, Brisbane for a significant time (rego sticker states 1968) and the car is complete and relatively undamaged. Is this something that some of your members might be interested in and if so what is the best way for me to let them know about it. I have listed the car on ebay (Item number: 251056675212) though this is mostly to have the information hosted somewhere easily accessible. I am happy to deal directly with any interested parties.
VIN: L63386
Regards,
Leif.
Hi,
My partner would like an older style vehicle as her wedding car. She is after an early Rolls Royce Phantom 1 style of vehicle. Or are 57 Chev Belair.
The vehicle would need to transport 3 adults and 1 child, it will be needed for Friday the 10th of August 2012, for transport from Redcliffe to Old Petrie town, for a 2:30 wedding.
We are quite aware of certain rules with regard to limosine licensing, but we are awesome people and really easy to make friends with. We are also prepared to offer our new freinds a gift for running us to our wedding.
If any of you are able to help us, could you please email me back on this address or call me Clayton, on 0412 389 160.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you kindly, Clayton
Hi Clayton,
Most club members have their classic vehicles registered under the Special Interest Vehicle Scheme which restricts use as outlined in this document http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/~/media/c32ee6a7-60a1-4134-bb68-78482b08696d/special_interest_vehicle_scheme_guide.pdf
However there may be a few who have their vehicles on “full rego”. Please phone one of the CHACC Officers listed above to enquire as to who and what vehicles may be available.
Note that there are quite a few businesses that hire classic cars. Here’s a search to get you started http://www.google.com.au/search?q=classic+car+hire

Hello
My name is Tegan. I am a 12 year old Joey Ambassador. I raise funds and awareness for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Wildlife Hospital. Each year my family and I put on events to raise money and have fun! This year we are putting on a Family Fun Day Car Rally. All over the Sunshine Coast on Sunday the 27th of May 2012 you will discover the beauty and enjoy the challenges at each stop (better than the greatest race!)
100% of the profits go to the wildlife hospital and there are excellent prizes to be won!
Please email me at info@wildlifeemergency.com.au to learn more or view my web page http://www.wildlifeemergency.com.au to register your interest.
This is a day for everyone with challenges at Big Kart Track, Aussie World just to name a couple (cant give away too many surprises!) Everyone will also get entry into Australia Zoo in the afternoon!
Looking forward to meeting you soon

Hi There,
This may seem like a bit of an odd request! We are heading over to Australia in september, we are staying for 7 nights on the Sunshine cost & 7 nights in Maloolaba. My father who will be travelling overseas for the first time in his life will be making the trip with us, as he is also a classica car enthusiast, i am trying to tee a up ride in a wonderful vehicle, around your wonderful city for an hour or two.
We would be willing to offer a donation to the club or pay for this ride for the owner of the vehicle, and make it worth while.
If this is not something that you do, or offer, are you able to point me in the right direction for someone who may offer this kind of service?
Thanks for your time, i look forward to hearing from you.
regards
Sarah
Generally we have a run on the first Sunday of each month Sarah. If your Dad would like to give the President or Vice President a ring when he’s over here, we might see if we could take him on one of the runs with us. Ph. nos are on the front of the newsletter or listed on the website.
Forgot to mention that the Sunshine Coast and Mooloolaba might be a little too far away although we have members who drive down from that area each month. Best to phone when settled in! WD
